Beyonce Decision: Strict Malaysian Dress Code on I Am World Tour
After two years, Finally Beyonce agreed to perform at Malaysia. This is a new statement from Beyonce Giselle Knowles (28), because she ever cancelled her concert there two years ago due to anger by Islamic activists over her titillating costumes. Well, not like the other country in Asia, Malaysia is a Muslim country that has “strict dress code”. Even R&B star like Beyonce have to think twice about her costumes if she want to perform at Malaysia.
If you are one of fans of Beyonce, you can see her live in “I Am” world Tour to Kuala Lumpur on October 25. There are many requirements that asked by Malaysian government such as no shouting, no jumping, hugging, or kissing onstage. Knowles is already drawing the anger of conservatives in this Muslim-majority country. Females are required to cover up from shoulders to knees and no cleavage showing allowed.
The R&B superstar could understand it because she is not the first artist to compromise in order to do the same thing. Rihanna, Gwen Stefani, and Avril Lavigne were also modified all their costumes when performing in Malaysia. But relax, Knowles clearly feels strongly about her performance in KL. If you want to see her live, just get the tickets online, before it’s late.
