Repair Your Acoustic Guitar

I wanted to talk about how you can repair your acoustic guitar in the most effective way. There are many simple tips you can apply for this purpose. I think many people think they have to take the guitar to a professional look and basically it’s finished. It is an expensive way to approach things. It’s just something that will happen when you use it, your acoustic guitar become broken, but what you may not realize is that it is relatively simple to fix, even for an average person. I’ll show you how to repair your acoustic guitar.

Teeth are much easier to correct than most people think. I know that many people think they have to sand the guitar, even all out, but this is not what you should do. Even using something as pulp wood does not help you that much. Essentially, you have the wood in a compacted area of the guitar. It’s not like it is missing, you just have to pop back. Put a drop of water on the tooth and the wood will swell and fill the space.

Scratches are more easily corrected. It is important to understand that when you scratch a guitar that you really do not scratch the wood, just finishing. This means that you just need to fill space with something clear and your guitar will be like new. Basically, just use clear nail polish on the scratch and your problem resolved.

Learning to Play Guitar

Discipline when you practice the guitar is very important. Learning to play the guitar is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done in my life, but it was also one of the most difficult. The reason I became responsible with my instrument is simple. I practiced and I practiced a lot, every day in my room. I spent most of my time practicing the fundamentals: up and down ladders, changing chords and trying to improve my repertoire of songs.

Sometimes it was easy to take the time to practice because I was in a good mood and I really wanted to play. In these moments I could spend hours just listening to how it sounded cool when I changed the agreement between G to D chord. But other days it was my discipline and my desire to play and made me improve practice and develop as a player.

There are two main factors when it comes to discipline in practice: regular practice and practice well. Practice regularly the most obvious and easy to do. Basically, you have to play the guitar every day. It should not be mammoth sessions of three hours long. 30 minutes is usually no problem if you are concentrated during this time.

Make regular, small amounts of practice are much better than going for hours once a week. I know that in a busy life, it can be difficult to take time to practice, but honestly, 30 minutes per day is possible for anyone. There is no fixed time which is best practice but I prefer doing it at night because I just found playing the guitar is a relaxing way to unwind after a stressful day.
